The Innovators Cookbook...

Post-It...

Post-It notes have been around for a long time keeping people in check for reminders and to do lists. I like how these two have taken on interesting and unusual formats, especially the watch piece, my arm would be covered in them.

Everything is a Remix...

Everything is a Remix Part 3 from Kirby Ferguson on Vimeo.

I've always been interested in concepts of 'originality' and creation but latly I have come across a few things that discuss this which I personally think works. Check out the other parts of 'Everything is Remix' on vimeo.

The. ...

Some really nice random and quirky products over at 'The'. Its good to see that they don't stick to one product and experiment with a whole load of different designs. Might have to get the large pocket shirt.

More over here.

Alternative Royal Wedding Plates...

KK Outlet have produced a series of alternate royal wedding plates. My personal favourite is the one pictured above, thanks.

Harmonic 313 album site...

Found this site on Favourite Website Awards along with many others that I will later post.

I found these really inspiring, especially as Im working on a flash project at the moment, due to there abstract nature creating something much more interactive and entertaining.

Also on this site if you win the game you get a free download which is nice !

Zim and Zou Gameboy...

I thought that this was a really interesting piece of paper work made by Zim and Zou found over at Behance. Im finding 3D paper work at the moment really compelling I think due to the interaction between the viewer and the piece.

The game boy a childhood classic, bring back the original handheld console.

Creative Review gets a new look...

For this April's issue of creative review they have undergone a redesign with a 'new size, new paper, new typography and, yes, a new logo'

There resons for the redesign are because 'Last month we celebrated our 30th birthday. It seemed the perfect moment to reinvent the magazine if we wanted to ensure its continued success over the next three decades.'

'There are two specific aims for the redesign: to create a better physical product and to get across the repositioning of our editorial stance that has been developing over the past two years.'

Personally the new design looks more intriguing and I am really interested in see what the 'new size' will be as there old large square format was something in play for them since the beginning of production.

Tricorn Centre...

The Tricorn Centre a piece of brutalist architecture within Portsmouth from the mid 1960's until 2004. Some loved it others loathed it, me personally I loved it although it could be perceived as 'an ugly piece of concreate' it gave Portsmouth character and contrasted immensely against any other architecture around the area.

It was a sad day when the news was that this building was going to be demolished, for me and many others it was a concrete playground and too this day I wish I had taken more time to explore the depths of the beautiful monster of Portsmouth.

Its all okay though apparently Portsmouth City Council have transformed the 'eye sore' of Portsmouth into something that is "far more attractive and a spurt of regeneration" by making it into a stylish money making car park. Far more beautiful than the Tricorn Centre.....

Long live the memory of the Tricorn Centre.

Jack Featherstone...

It's Nice That Talk #12 – Jack Featherstone from It's Nice That on Vimeo.

I found out about this designer though W210 and came across a Graduate talk on his website. I found this talk really interesting as it told a good story of him going mainly through University and after but what i liked most was the body of work of which he had, going from typography to animation and various other formats but with each one held his own particular style.

Here is his website which i found really inspiring particularly The Count And Sinden - Visuals and Play With Type.

Matt Bridgeman Website...
