Trainspotting 15 years old...
"Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting film is 15 years old this month. The designers of its iconic, often copied, Helvetica-sporting posters, Mark Blamire (now of Blanka and Print-Process) and Rob O’Connor of Stylorouge, talk to us about working on the project and how they arrived at the designs for the film's poster campaign..."

Light Surgeons...
In Passing from THE LIGHT SURGEONS on Vimeo.
THE Z-AXIS from THE LIGHT SURGEONS on Vimeo.
These are a few out of many good films Light Surgeons have made. What I like about there productions is there rawness of layered old super eight film with other films and motion graphics.
Thanks to Chris Golya for telling about these in foundation.

Tricorn Centre...
The Tricorn Centre a piece of brutalist architecture within Portsmouth from the mid 1960's until 2004. Some loved it others loathed it, me personally I loved it although it could be perceived as 'an ugly piece of concreate' it gave Portsmouth character and contrasted immensely against any other architecture around the area.
It was a sad day when the news was that this building was going to be demolished, for me and many others it was a concrete playground and too this day I wish I had taken more time to explore the depths of the beautiful monster of Portsmouth.
Its all okay though apparently Portsmouth City Council have transformed the 'eye sore' of Portsmouth into something that is "far more attractive and a spurt of regeneration" by making it into a stylish money making car park. Far more beautiful than the Tricorn Centre.....
Long live the memory of the Tricorn Centre.

Jack Featherstone...
It's Nice That Talk #12 – Jack Featherstone from It's Nice That on Vimeo.
I found out about this designer though W210 and came across a Graduate talk on his website. I found this talk really interesting as it told a good story of him going mainly through University and after but what i liked most was the body of work of which he had, going from typography to animation and various other formats but with each one held his own particular style.
Here is his website which i found really inspiring particularly The Count And Sinden - Visuals and Play With Type.

Martyn Interview...
This is a nice interview found on Erosie blog and from On-Point.be, not only is the filming nice and a bit experimental for an interview but some of the information Martyn I found really insightful. Martyn is one of my top rated artists ever and some of the thing which he said in the interview only made my appricaition for his music even more.
